Bradley Curtis Hale 6/8/89- 03/27/15
In March 2015 my family was devastated when Brad took his own life. Bradley left behind a three year old son, loving parents, brothers and a sister and many aunts, uncles and family and friends that loved him so much. Brad suffered from mental illness and couldn’t get the proper treatment needed. Our family believes in Mental Health Awareness and reaching out to those in need of help. Our Brad loved the Minnesota Vikings and his little boy Carter so much! This is our first of many walks in honor of Brad. Until we meet again please smile down on us with your big, beautiful Bradley smile. We love you.

Team Cheddar – in memory of Chandler Jay Gouchee 11/22/94-2/21/11

Four years ago, my life was going along just fine.  I had two beautiful kids, Chandler and Erica, three amazing step-kids, Grace, Alex & Lexi, and a husband whom I adored.  I had a job I loved and thought life was pretty good.  All except a few little hiccups with having teenagers coming of age in our family.  Little did I know one night would be the last time I would hug my 16 year old son goodnight!  As most of you now know the horrible pain of being a suicide survivor, it was the most excruciating thing I have ever had to go through.  I was lucky that I had some amazing family, friends and co-workers who helped me through it.  But even still, some people did not understand.  It was not until I got involved in a support group for suicide survivors and attended my first walk for suicide awareness that I realized that I was not alone!  At that point, I realized how many others are like me, and even though I don’t know them, we have a special bond.  I found the walk is an amazing event that helps honor our loved ones, and it gave me a peace knowing that I have lots of places to turn, when I need someone.  That is why I decided that I wanted to help organize and plan this amazing event!  Please come join us!

Our family is walking in remembrance of Doug Chadima!  Doug was outgoing, funny, the life of the party and an all around great person.  If you knew Doug, you loved him and that is why we continue to walk in the HOPEwalk each year!  Dougie, as we called him, we will forever miss you and love you!  Keep shining on us from up there!
